We are on the hunt for a “player-coach” VP of Sales—a dynamic leader who can drive revenue growth, build scalable sales processes, and recruit a world-class sales team.
Requirements
- Sales Leadership: Proven experience leading or managing a sales team that has successfully scaled accounting software or services from $1M to $10M in revenue
- B2B SaaS Expertise: Strong interest or understanding in B2B software platforms and SaaS products, with a deep knowledge of recurring revenue business models
- Strategic Pricing & Compensation: Experience in building and determining pricing models and compensation plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and market standards
- Sales Team Development: Skilled in recruiting, training, and managing sales representatives, setting quotas, providing ongoing feedback, and fostering a high-performance sales culture
- Sales Process Optimization: Ability to write, refine, and iterate on sales scripts and collateral to improve conversion rates and customer engagement
- KPI Reporting: Proficiency in reporting sales KPIs to management and the company board, with a focus on actionable insights and continuous improvement
- Data-Driven Approach: A strong analytical mindset, treating sales as a math problem and optimizing processes like a machine, with a focus on data, analytics, and numbers
- Travel Willingness: Willing to travel to industry events and meet with customers, representing the company and deepening relationships
- Customer Empathy: Deep understanding and empathy for the needs and challenges of small businesses, startups, and business owners
- Accounting & FP&A Knowledge: Preference will be given to candidates with a strong understanding of accounting or Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) processes, allowing for better alignment with the company’s financial goals and customer needs
