Join our team as a Bookkeeper & Payroll Controller at Cyolo!
We are looking for a Bookkeeper & Payroll Controller to join our Finance team and take full ownership of the company’s end-to-end bookkeeping and payroll operations, managing the books of both the Israeli entity and the US Inc. entity.
This is a hands-on finance role, responsible for accurate accounting operations, payroll processing, tax reporting, and month-end closing activities in a fast-paced global cybersecurity company. The role sits within Cyolo’s finance function and plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with Israeli and US regulations, and smooth operational execution as the company continues to scale internationally.
This is a full-time position based in Ramat Gan, reporting to the Global Controller.
Cyolo is a cybersecurity company focused on securing connectivity solutions for organizations operating in highly sensitive and mission critical environments.
Day-to-day Accounting:
- Own accounting processes for both the Israeli and US entities, from transaction recording through month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close (including provisions, prepaid expenses, and expense allocations) and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable processing (invoices, payments and reconciliations).
- Accounts Receivable processing (billing, collections and reconciliations).
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements on an ongoing basis.
- Review and record employee travel and expense reimbursements, using expense platforms such as Travel Perk and Mesh.
- Prepare and submit VAT reports, withholding tax, and other tax filings (856, 126 reconciliations).
- Manage fixed assets system (Hisulit) and post monthly depreciation entries.
- Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across group entities.
- Support external audit processes including preparation of requested documents and interactions with auditors.
- Maintain strong internal controls across accounting and payment processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead cross-functional, multi-entity automation initiatives.
Payroll & Benefits:
- Execute the end-to-end monthly payroll process using Hilan, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Manage all interactions with Israeli authorities (Tax Authority, Bituach Leumi) and pension funds. Ensure correct deductions for pension, study funds and social taxes.
- Handle the complete calculation and reimbursement process for employees on active reserve duty.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding (Form 101, Form 161, and termination settlements).
- Monitor and update attendance records and leave balances.
- Administer employee benefits, including pension and study fund arrangements, in coordination with providers and HR.
- Prepare and file annual and periodic reports, including Forms 126, 106, and 856.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees on all payroll-related inquiries.
- Work closely with the HR department on all employee-related financial matters.
- Record all payroll-related journal entries into NetSuite and perform monthly reconciliations.
- Stay up-to-date with labor laws and payroll regulations to ensure full compliance.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Certified Bookkeeper (Type 3) and Certified Payroll Controller – Mandatory.
- 5+ years of bookkeeping and payroll accounting experience, ideally in a tech company or startup environment.
- Experience with the Hilan payroll system (or similar, such as Michpal).
- Hands on experience with NetSuite – Strong Advantage.
- Strong experience with multi-currency accounting systems.
- Experience managing the books of multiple entities, including a US entity – Strong Advantage.
- Advanced Excel proficiency for data analysis – Strong Advantage.
- Deep expertise in Israeli Labor Laws, income tax, and social security regulations.
- Strong English (written and verbal) and native-level Hebrew.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ability to handle sensitive/confidential data, and a service-oriented mindset.
